Our Philosophy

I have for a long time felt and believed that music, as a form of performing arts, like all arts, is essential for the survival of a community. In the earliest time periods the people that survived were those that had rituals, such as burial, and art.

Music has the ability to provide a form of emotional expression. Singing because by its nature it is music with the addition of words has the ability to express ideas that are not normally formulated on a day to day basis. The process of a performance, with performer and audience can actually help both release feelings otherwise lodged within unrecognized.

Choir for Children
The Benefits are many.

1. Children begin to understand how to make their sound or how to improve their voices.
2. They learn care of their voice so that know how to preserve it throughout life.
3. Growth in confidence as they improve.
4. Opportunity to connect in an artistic way, which provides a different outlet than sports.
5. Theory will be offered, so they are learning music as well.
6. Children who study and perform music actually improve their brain power for other areas of study.
7. Actually singing can improve one’s cardiovascular ability.
8. It can actually help improve one’s health because it helps the flow of the Lymphatic system.
9. It can help lift the child’s mood and give a sense of being alert often that gives one a sense of being spiritually uplifted.
10. Social benefits of children having a sense of belonging, because a choir is a sub community of our larger community.
